FISL 9.0 and YAPC::SA::2008
FISL website
The city of Porto Alegre in southern Brazil has been hosting the YAPC::SA as part of the International Free Software Forum (FISL). This year, we gave out some of the Shadowcat Systems merchandise at the Perl Mongers stand. The frisbee and bag stock ran dry quickly, but we saved some items for the end of the YAPC::SA talks. Two of our developers, Eden Cardim and Wallace Reis, delivered talks on DBIx::Class and Catalyst. They arrived late because Google had sponsored a barbecue dinner at a typical southern restaurant, which had live exhibitions of local folklore.
