Happy New Year and welcome to 2011.
If you have been following events in the Perl world you will know that there was a fantastic number of events and releases that occurred in the Perl community in 2010 (see below) and we at Shadowcat Systems were proud to be a part of them and to sponsor and support many great initiatives. 2011 is already shaping up to be another great year.
In this first month of 2011 Mark Keating will be attending the Perl Oasis in Orlando where he will be giving a presentation on why he loves the Perl community and organising the London Perl Workshop during a year of great problems to overcome. Matt S. Trout will meanwhile be attending and participating in the Plat_Forms contest in Germany.
This is the start of a year that promises to be busy at Shadowcat Systems as we look forward to some interesting internal and external projects and developments. There will also be a raft of community support to events such as YAPC::NA, YAPC::EU, LPW2011, EPO and NWE.pm Hackathons and technical meetings, and these are the first of several we will no doubt be announcing.
So, here's hoping you all have a great 2011.
